Television > Personally Speaking > About the Show

"Personally Speaking" is just what the name implies – an opportunity to speak personally, about the things that matter most in life. It's an intimate forum where prominent Catholics have the opportunity to discuss some of the most personal aspects of their lives, including their relationship with God and the role that faith has played in their lives.

Hosted by Msgr. Jim Lisante, pastor of St. Thomas the Apostle parish in West Hempstead, New York, "Personally Speaking" first went on the air in October 1999 as a weekly half hour show on the Odyssey Network (and later the Hallmark Channel). Since 2003, it has been produced as a yearly hour-long special for NBC's "Horizons of the Spirit" series, an interfaith religious series made available to NBC stations each year by the Interfaith Broadcasting Commission (IBC).

"Personally Speaking" is produced by the Catholic Communication Campaign of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, which is a member of the IBC.
